Example Design: Smart Access for an Apartment Building

The Challenge
A mid-size residential building relies on metal keys for the lobby, car park and service doors. Lost keys are costly to replace, visitors cannot be screened, and shared areas have no recorded video coverage.
The Solution
The design uses EURONET RFID keypad readers with 600lb magnetic locks and LZ brackets on the lobby and car-park doors, electric strike locks on service doors, a video door phone at the entrance, Smart Door Lock 203 units on apartment doors and an 8-channel 5MP AHD CCTV kit for the lobby, corridors and parking.

- Card or PIN entry replaces metal keys on shared doors
- Visitors screened by video before the door is released
- Keyless smart locks on every apartment
- Recorded CCTV coverage of lobby, corridors and car park
